I've been kind of thinking the same thing. Even if he plays and he plays with...

...a soft or hard cast, to be able to grip the ball in the correct position would be difficult, if not impossible. If he played without a cast, he'd be dealing with atrophied muscles. Maybe he will play a few plays, but more likely in a blocking back position rather than carrying the ball.
