Look, I LOVE Taysom Hill and was excited by what he did last Sunday. But it was against a bunch of third stringers playing a vanilla scheme in a virtually no pressure situation.
As spectacular as Hill is as an athlete, Wilson has a stronger, more accurate arm, a quicker release, and can see the field and anticipate throws better than Hill ALREADY. He is also no slouch as a runner. BYU will need all those skills on display if they are to come up with a win next Friday. Whit has had 9 months to scheme and prepare. He's really good in those situations.
As great as Hill looked on Sunday, all but one of his completions were more or less dumpoffs or routine, short to mid level routes. The reason Jake Heaps is touting ZW as a first round pick is because he is already displaying the ENTIRE skillset to potentially run an NFL offense... something TAYSOM is only starting to show
