People only say it's "not competitive" if they're looking to be condescening
or, in BYU fans' case, self loathing. Streaks don't mean the team receiving the losses will never be good again. It's not like there's some rule that you have to fold your program if you lose 10 straight to a rival. Even if fans want it to be that way. If you're playing games and the games aren't blowouts every year, it's still competitive
