We were at LES in 2011 when JD Falslev tried to catch the kick with his facemask and Utah recovered at the 5-ish and ran into the end zone. After review the referee announced that "Upon further review, the ruling on the field of touchdown is reversed..." the BYU section we were sitting across the aisle from started yelling, "we have the ball back," then it fell quiet after the explanation of a muff and the inability to advance a muff was explained it fell silent. Under that circumstance I wouldn't call the BYU fans idiots, just maybe uninformed of the rule or premature.
