My wife and I were sound asleep just now. Siren goes off loudly multiple times and the voice says "Fire." I frantically run around the house trying to locate where the flames would be (obviously if it were blatantly apparent that there were uncontrollable flames I'd go straight for my two kids). ...Nothing... I slow down, heart still racing, but confused. My mind shifts to thinking it's a carbon monoxide thing. Check the stove gas, nothing. Go downstairs to the main gas line, nothing out of the ordinary. Still a bit freaked out, I call Dominion Gas and walk through the possibilities with the guy. He sends a technician out to take a look, no cost. Windows are open in all the bedrooms. My home was built new last February - these are legit new smoke/CM detectors. Sitting here waiting for him. Hoping it's just a faulty detector. Has anyone had this happen before?
