I believe you're right. I know the beginning part of the canyon falls under the
Timpanogos Cave area which is separate and doesn't require a fee. You only have to pay if you are going past the cave.

How many YM? If not too many, see if someone has a fire pit in yard. We had as many as 30 use our yard fire pit.
