Some facts heading into the game:
-The Vols are coming off a humiliating defeat and will be ready and focused
-BYU has to travel 2 time zones East, never an easy thing
-Tennessee on paper has far more talent than BYU
-We are playing a team that lost to Georgia State, if we lose (and the odds are against us winning) that is a rough loss on the resume
Now don't think I am laying this at the feet of Tom Holmoe, I love the game. I love going to play in one of the largest stadiums in the country in Neyland Stadium. I just hate that they lost week 1 to Georgia St. It puts a ton of pressure on our team and I don't think we need the pressure.
Quite simply, this is very close to a make or break game for BYU's season. Win and you have a good chance at splitting the first 4 tough games and the possibility of 9 or 10 wins. Lose and you wonder if it will be an 0-4 start and the team coming apart at the seams in a lost season. That sounds dramatic and it is, but if we can't beat a team that just lost to Georgia St do you see more than 6 wins left on the schedule? Even that many?
