In my current position. One client was pretty gruff. An older farmer who didn’t care about what he said, and pretty much said whatever he thought. He would drop the f-word pretty frequently and try to bully me a bit. After a few months of working with him, I was able to help with some problems he had.

After I helped him he came into my office and said, “Superman21, when I first met you, I thought to myself ‘I don’t know if I can work with this pin head’, but you’re alright.”

I have never felt better about a backhanded compliment. Now, he is a client for life.
