quite a bit. He didn't have to do the firesides where he would no doubt get mobbed by the masses but he signed up for it because he thought it would be a net positive. Which, I guess you have to admire. He was a bit of a weird guy (to which he'd probably agree and revel in) but he was good guy and knew some X's and O's and how to motivate young men.
