Until we have better tech, the ball should be placed on the nearest whole yard
every first down. So the line to gain will always be at a yard marker. That way, at least refs have a point of reference when looking at whether a player got a first down. No need to measure with sticks any more, just decide if the tip of the ball made to the line.

Not the final solution, but it's such an easy fix for now. Move the ball slightly forward/back every first down.
