Ok, it's 4th and 1 and SoCal sees a wholesale lineup change. The naturally instinct is we just sent out the FG unit, so they send out their FG block unit. Only they quickly realize it's not the FG unit and they are forced to call a TO.

There were two outcomes in that moment. Either we easily get the first, or they are forced to use a TO. They burned a TO. You take that as a win and move on. At that point, though, the element of surprise is gone. We apparently only have one play with that package and now SoCal was ready for it. Either send out the normal O or kick the FG. Keeping the Dayan package out there, unless Kafentzis had a trick pass play ready to go, was dumb.
