Even at that time, many wondered why Kalani didn't take responsibility...
He is the head coach after all, of both the offense and the defense. I think Kalani and Ty were in a really tough spot. No way to put lipstick on that pig. I think they would both handle situations differently.

Listening to Ty on the radio last year, it sounded like his hands were a bit tied on some things just like Kalani's hands were tied. Neither anticipated how bad those things would hurt until it was too late.

Many lessons learned there. It is part of the investment that BYU has made in Kalani Sitake. He is a MUCH better head coach today than he was two years ago. The team organization and discipline is improved. He has also realized that he needs to fight the administration for more support- it is a continuous battle at BYU and at other schools too.
