I would like to apologize.....
To everyone who thought or wondered if I am a raging narcissist or egomaniac or attention monger after my post earlier this morning. I am most certainly none of those things - I hope.
To explain my OP...about 15 minutes before I posted about myself and being willing to face the music and answer questions from any/all CBers about me...my past...the rumors versus lies versus the truth....someone created a free account playing off one of my former board names. They posted a question or questions soliciting from the board if anyone could verify things they had heard about me from supposedly "solid" sources.
I'll leave it up to you why they did this and what their intentions were.
Although I've had my issues with the mods here going back to the very beginning of CougarBoard....I was grateful that the mod on duty took down that post. I was in the middle of responding to it when I discovered it was gone....so I started my own post to volunteer to answer any questions which apparently amuse...fascinate or keep some CBers up at night.
As I mentioned earlier...I am VERY strongly opinionated and passionate about BYU football and have been all my life...and I've never been shy about expressing my opinions thoughts and feelings on here going back to 2000 and BYU Board. I get that...and I get that I've rubbed some (many?) people the wrong way. Not my intention...but I am who I am....and my closest family and friends and HCBW will be the first to tell you I am an "acquired taste" as a human being.
That said....I do care about my name and reputation...and the TRUTH about who I am and what I've done. I will admit to my sins on here publicly if asked to...but at the same time would...in fairness....like the chance to completely dispel the rumors...half-truths and outright LIES which have been spread about me through the years here.
Really...the most important thing I would want people to takeaway is......at the end of the day....after the dust settles....I am a 500% deep blue BYU football fan/alum and will be until I take the big dirt nap.
