between UW and the previous two games. Chris Peterson knows BYU well. He gave BYU all it can handle when his Boise State teams had similar talent as BYU. Now he has superior talent. BYU does not beat teams with great coaching and superior talent absent a fluke, like the ball just bounced the right way.

I wouldn't place too much important on the Cal game. Justin Wilcox is an excellent defensive coach. He also is very familiar with Chris Peterson, as he served as Peterson's defensive coordinator at Boise State for several years. I'm sure he knows Peterson's tendencies and was able to use that to his advantage.

If the Cougars are able to avoid being manhandled by UW and can keep the game close, I will be impressed with their progress.
