OK if you aren't a ute fan, glad to hear it as I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but utah is not clearly "superior" to USC and in fact talent wise is clearly inferior. And utah almost always loses to USC. I can understand someone thinking utah will win, there are certainly reasons one can use to make that pick, but calling them "clearly superior" is a huge overstatement and makes it look more homerish than just a guess or a pick.

Utah has done exactly nothing this year, or last year, to warrant their current ranking, they're over-hyped. We'll find out tomorrow if they are more than their normal "pretty good" team.
