Luckily this is the first year in the last 5 that I'm not behind an old couple who bring in oversize seats that literally sit in your lap. And yes, it's almost always a couple over 70 bringing their recliners. However, around me there has been two big arguments over couples that brought their huge seats and made it impossible for the people behind them to sit even remotely comfortably. This year I purchased the seats they put down permanently, and while I used to use my approved seats at this point I would be fine with BYU just banning bringing seats in because fans can't be trusted to actually follow the rules. Better for BYU to spend time doing this than all the other things they worry about (signs etc).
