Bronco’s not an elite coach, but he is a good to great coach. Even coaches like Mark D’Antonio at Michigan State will be in the college football playoffs one year then win 3 games the next season.
Yeah that loss was terrible, but it was game 2 of taking over a program that was an absolute dumpster fire. That whole season was a huge statistical outlier in Bronco’s career and anyone who tries to hold that against him as some sort of indictment on his coaching clearly is drunk on haterade.
Meanwhile the losses I mentioned were in season 2 and 3 of Kalani taking over a program that hadn’t missed a bowl game since before current high schoolers were born. A much clearer indicator of what the state of the program is under him.
