I don’t believe Kalani and Tuiaki have the schemes to only lose one more game this season. They’ve trotted out the same defense for 3 years now with very little adjustments. I think BYU loses at least 2 more out of BSU, USU, Toledo, USF, and SDSU, and can easily see more. That result wouldn’t suggest Kalani is learning and progressing as a coach.
I do agree BYU needs to be patient and give Kalani a few more seasons regardless. But if Kalani hovers around .500 in years 6-8, you have to at least seriously consider moving in.
