How? Success on the field or a coach who can recruit and convince parents of high quality recruits to invest in BYU.

If he could convince 5-6 of those highly prized recruits to come to BYU, would win a few more games and that would increase recruiting even more.

i think our Independent schedule could be enough of an attraction to recruits if we actually won.

Bronco went 8-5 per year in 5 years of independence. had he gone 10-3 or 11-2, on average, we'd be landing more of those LDS 4 and 5 star recruits.

AT this point, we ain't attracting them by winning, so, gotta have a coach who can convince them to come.

I thought it would be KS as I hoped he would do as Elder Sikahema promised, get more recruits if BYU hired a poly HC. We hired a staff of about 80% poly's and we still didn't get the recruits to come.

So, our only hope is a high-profile coach with a proven track record who can show recruits that they will be joining a winning program and a program who can develop them to the next level.

We don't have anyone with that profile unless KWhit were to jump ship. I don't even thing Andy Reid could do it since he's not been a college coach for years and doesn't know the recruiting game.
