FYI...I actually buy honey bees for pollinating every year. We buy hundreds of hives in the spring. They make so much money on the rents, it's not worth it for them to harvest the honey so they either give it away or throw it away.

We pay something like $$40-50/hive. And the beekeepeers move them from crop to crop to keep them pollinating.might be something to look into when you get a critical mass of hives Might be interesting to farm them out to local (Very) small farmers.
