You understand that our understanding of health and nutrition have gotten better in the last 50 years?
Do you understand that the subject of the article wasn't fueling his body properly (due to lack of knowledge) and thus I'm sure his recovery was sub par? That probably contributed to his breaking himself in pursuit of greatness.
I agree that risks and negatives exist for chasing greatness but I don't think we can't mitigate them or that it's silly to have passions.
I also think it's odd to persecute doctors for advocating for health and doing things the right way.
I for one am very thankful for doctors for helping me find health and heal after medical procedures
