It's a misconception that BYU plays better-than-average P5 teams

They might have bigger names, but BYU's caught a lot of them on down years.

The combined win% of BYU's P5 opponents is very poor (54.6%) compared to the combined win% of the P5 teams other P5 teams have had to play.

54.6% would be the 64th highest among P5 schools, just fractions ahead of Utah and Northwestern.
