Had in-class for my grad program. Tests were much shorter which was nicer.

Some of my engineering professors at BYU designed tests that were 6+ hours long. I went into the testing center right when it opened one Saturday and walked out when it closed with only 3/4 of the test done. I thought I had failed.

Turn out that I was one of the students that got the farthest and ended up with an A.

I'm old enough there was no testing center when I attended. Somehow I survived.

When I taught at BYU, one prof in the math dept did get a warning for long tests

I had church in the Testing Center for a couple of years. We used to say it was the most spiritual place on campus
