Isn’t your “son’s cousin’s mom” your sister-in-law?
And I know a couple where the wife’s mother is a blood cousin to the husband’s father. It wasn’t weird for them because they didn’t meet until their late teens.

When I read your post I thought to myself, “Oh, that would be like if I had married so and so.” Yep, it’s totally a non-issue. And it’s actually pretty cool that they’ve met and like each other. It’s fun that they share cousins without actually being blood related. Cool match—if it happens.
