Don't misunderstand me. Beating Utah is a prime objective of any BYU coaching staff. However, when Utah got their golden ticket to the PAC 12, BYU's fate was cast. We will not be able to compete with their recruiting advantages.

So now the barometer for success becomes: How does this program consistently beat Utah State and Boise State? Both these programs are G5. There is no reason to lose to these teams each year.
