Ok, but can it really be much worse?
Paralyzing ourselves with the fear that it “could be worse” means we have to accept more of what we’re currently getting, and what we’re currently getting is really bad.

BYU is a bad football team right now, they are bad, and coaching is a massive part of that, in fact it’s the entire reason. Whether they lack talent, lack desire, execute poorly, or whatever the reason it is the fault of the coaches.

The coaches either can’t evaluate talent and have recruited poorly, can’t motivate the players to play up to their abilities, can’t formulate game plans that are good enough, or can’t design defensive or offensive schemes that are good enough. Plain and simple the coaches are responsible for the state of the program and the program is in a very poor state, they just lost to two very bad teams.

So my question is this, how can it be any worse? If they are struggling to hit .500 and be eligible for 3 tier bowl games now what could “worse” actually look like?
