This is the biggest problem about our situation. All of our
very few candidates are “I’m not sure...” guys. There isn’t one guy that fans would be thinking “now that’s a great hire”. Which is why we’ve just got to be able to hire non-LDS guys and be willing to pay what it takes to get them here.
It’s like telling a guy in 1930 who is LDS but lives in Virginia that he has to marry a Mormon girl. He’s going to see the 3 Mormon girls in Virginia and think “well none of them are great but I guess I need to choose one.”
