I get what you’re saying that it’s just a kicker but it’s more of coaches not giving someone a thorough tryout. You take NFL talent wherever you can get it. Center, kicker, QB it doesn’t matter. Field goals can add up to a lot of points over the course of a game. Especially if it’s low scoring it can be the difference
