Lol, nobody is arguing that coaches can't be LDS...look at Genaro Gilford, Ed Lamb, Grimes, Mateos, Schroyer, etc.
The HC of ANY sport at BYU must be a temple recommend holding active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There is no question about this, it is BYU policy.
