Grimes’ issues were evident before either of those players went down
Running slow-to-develop plays out of the shotgun on 3rd and 1. Running the same play 3 times on 4th and 1 in a highly leveraged situation and with the backfield populated by players that don’t usually see action in those situations. 14 “long drives” with nary a td to show for it. And the list goes on.
Losing Zack had nothing to do with the Toledo loss (should have been up big at that point). Should have won at Toledo without Ty’Son. Should have won at USF without either
