Committing guys to stopping the run fixes that problem.
You’re right. Our LBers playing soft for absolutely no reason was really strange.
First time all day I think I saw 8 in the box was on USF’s last drive where they went three and out. No idea why we didn’t go to that sooner once we understood that they were literally going to run every play.
I did notice Tonga driving his guy back only to create a hole for the back to run through because our other ends were too weak to do anything and no linebackers were around.
