I enjoy a name game schedule, but Holmoe has way over scheduled the program.
He's between a rock and hard place. He wants to look and act like a P5 with G5 resources and restrictions. He has to schedule name games for tv contracts and to show the world we are P5 worthy.

But the reality is the program isn't ready for these leaps in the schedule. BYU is struggling to beat average/bad G5 teams at times. BYU is recruiting in the 70s/80s and and using a self made puddle to find coaches.

This is why Bronco said it isn't sustainable. You can't go like this long term and it is already showing. Between finances, over scheduling, recruiting, honor code, and coaching BYU can't play consistently with the big boys. If BYU wants to play with them, they are going to have to change some of their own rules to make it possible.
