as far as credit and blame. If you're only at a place for a few years, you're starting off with whatever the last coach left you, and by the time you build up your own program, you're gone.
He built USU up for Wells. He won 9 and 10 games at Wisconsin. He walked into a mess left by Mike Riley and by that point was just kind of appearing to go a bit crazy.
And now he just walked into a USU program that was left VERY depleted. But USU is the type of program I think he's good at building. He's not great, but he's also bounced around so we can't go on record. What we do know is that the guy can't settle in and get comfortable. Complaints wherever he goes. He didn't like the admissions stuff at Wisconsin. Complained about his own assistants at OSU. He's just kind of out there right now. USU is a good fit so he can go get his guys who don't need good academics to get in.
