And as you point out - their strength of schedule is indicative of that.

But I still think any team that gets to 6 wins should get some level of respect. Winning is still winning. Doesn't mean they're great. It means they've beaten some teams and won some games.

They're going to beat New Mexico State at home in a couple of weeks and be bowl eligible. Beating teams that are bowl eligible - even if they are bad bowl eligible teams - is better than beating teams that aren't bowl eligible.

As a side note - how weird is it that Liberty and New Mexico State have a home and home in the same season? Weird.
