The name of Texas Christian University is "Texas Christian University."  It says so on all signs, diplomas, employment records, student records, official communications and documents, governmental filings and on anything and everything connected with or about the school.  I'd ask you for a link but you don't have one because it doesn't exist.

The acronym for Texas Christian University is "TCU."  Nearly two decades ago, Texas Christian University registered its acronym and associated trademarks and other intellectual property with the U.S. Copyright Office at the Library of Congress so as to forestall other entities (such as the Teachers' Credit Union) from using the acronym.  In order to demonstrate the veracity of the registration, Texas Christian University must actually use the acronym.  And it does - interchangably with the official name.

You are wrong about denigrating the Disciples of Christ - that relationship was actually strengthened a few years ago with a formal covenant that was in part specifically designed to counteract your interpretation of the tradename registration.
