New NCAA Football Conference

Consider this conference for a moment:

What if Religious and Military schools (include those in Independence) decide to link up and form a conference? Here is what I am thinking:

Boston College

Liberty

  • Boston College (Catholic)
  • Army
  • Navy
  • Liberty (Evangelical)
  • Notre Dame (Catholic)
  • Baylor (Baptist)
  • TCU (Christian)
  • SMU (Methodist)
  • Air Force
  • BYU (LDS)

Would that be a competitive conference? What if they each still played 3 games with their current conferences (BYU would still play Utah, BSU, and USU; Notre Dame would still play USC, Stanford, etc).

I know it is a pipe dream (or not), but I think it would form an alliance for colleges with stricter codes and actually make all school a more legitimate threat for Playoffs (especially Notre Dame).

Thoughts?
