That was the worst mosquito infestation I have ever seen. My brother and I were running with full packs for about 5 miles to get out of one of the valleys. The nice part was after that run, we sat down next to a log to eat lunch in the shade and watched as a black bear upwind from us walked by about 20 feet away in broad daylight while foraging for food. It was very cool to see a bear that close without it knowing we were there and not rumaging through a dumpster. 🙂
