While I would argue that his recruiting hasn't been any better than Bronco's, I would also argue that the talent he has gotten has not been the problem. Between "his" guys and the leftovers, there has been more than enough talent in the program to have averaged 8+ wins a year. And let's be honest, most of the guys that Kalani is getting are the same ones that Bronco got. Which is why the BYU recruiting pool is so small in comparison to other programs. Kalani is finally realizing that maybe Bronco did things the way he did for a reason. Bronco was just better at embracing the unique requirements/culture and making it a strength. Maybe Kalani still can too.
