Just like that car, if there is smoke/steam from under the hood, you either have one of two problems, 1) engine fire or 2) radiator overheated... When that car rumbles and bucks itself down the road, you can probably get several diagnoses, but you know it's sick and needs repair. It isn't going to 'self correct'.

So, there is something wrong with this team. And maybe the 'master mechanic' knows what it is, maybe he doesn't, or maybe with his big loyal heart he isn't willing to make that really tough decision to boot a friend and find someone who can develop a stronger defensive scheme.
