... it was a phenomenal play, but I do not think it was as impactful as people claim. There was still a lot of game left when the play was made. If Hawaii scored a TD there, BYU still went down and scored a TD on their next drive and would have retaken the lead by one point instead of 5. I know the game likely plays out differently based on the difference in score, but if people make assumptions about "the play" preserving the national championship season, then I think it is fair to assume that if Hawaii scored a TD there, BYU still wins the game by 1 point and the national championship season is preserved.

Anyway, I do feel awful for Morrell and his ALS. I did not know he was afflicted by it. That is awful.
