I cared about my students. I also did not have $200+ just siting around to give to students so they could watch a movie. Nor did I find it necessary to play nanny state on all of the students who missed class. if I am being honest, to teach at BYU-Idaho, you would have to be a person who valued wiping a lot of noses.
I will also state, for the record, that my professors at BYU cared about me. I even sent a few of them wedding invitations. They cared. We had many meaningful discussions on a personal level.
Some BYU professors I'll mention:
Gary Lawlor, Steve Humphries, Julie Damron, Mark Peterson, Rod Forcade, Roger Baker, Gaye Strathearn, John Lamb.
All of these men and women were great professors who cared about their students.
