Does it also need a switch or are you going to add it on the same switch the
lights use?
If you are connecting it to the same switch then it is incredibly easy to DIY.
Drill the hole in the ceiling and mount the fan. Flip the breaker OFF. Climb up into the attic and locate the light that you would like to connect it to. Run and connect the wire between the two fixtures. Flip the breaker ON.
