There is a very small overlap in recruiting that happens with BYU and Utah.

The high ranked Utah LDS kids both schools go after equals MAYBE 1 or 2 kids a year... even then the kid leans one way or another long before signing day.

BYU fans like to think they have a shot with guys like Noah Sewell or Van Fillinger but they would NEVER pick BYU.

For every LDS guy in the Utah top 25 recruits.... Utah can find a non-LDS higher-ranked recruit in Florida or CA. (only a handful of the top-ranked guys in Utah even have offers from the U)

Utah and BYU are not in a recruiting battle (even though most BYU fans want to think we are).
