I finally stopped letting BYU’s struggles ruin my weekends and make me angry about 3 years ago. I somehow managed to disconnect (at least 95% of the time) my emotional connection to the games which made it more pleasant to watch games with me for friends and family but the passion and excitement went away as well.

At times I miss the emotional connection, the passion and excitement but most of the time I just don’t care.

The problem for me is I don’t really have any hobbies. I travel 2-3 weeks a month and work from sun up till I go to bed on those trips and then I go home just to catch up on all the things that need my attention like my family and fixing what my kids have broken. So yeah, I need some hobbies to fill the void that BYU athletics left.
