We are talking more like 100-200% annual interest/fees. Little different than 20
For example, the woman with four kids under eight living in a $500 trailer, borrowed $700 for Christmas, owed $1400 to pay it off over a year.
Yes, she is a hot mess in so many ways, but I don't think the state should be facilitating (as in turning over bail) this kind of interaction.
