I don't hate BYU, and in fact cheer for them when they're not playing Utah. I grew up in a family of BYU fans, and have attended many BYU games. So I like reading the BYU stuff.

I also like discussing the sports stuff (including the Jazz) without the religious nonsense that you find in other areas. I really don't like potshots at the LDS church to accompany my sports talk.

As for people telling me to go away, that's par for the course on any board where there are strongly held and differing opinions. There's more of it here, but enough people engage in interesting discussions without saying those things that I tend to ignore them. I work in a professional capacity in the field of arts and entertainment where strangers feel free to make nasty, unsolicited comments about me on a regular basis solely due to questions of personal taste. I've grown a thick skin.

If the site admin told me I was not wanted, that would be a different matter, and I would respect that.
