To a 22 yo that sounds like an endless amount of money.
It isn’t very much when you consider his career could end at any moment, and an optimistic expectation would be a three year career.
Also, the way the nfl pays players doesn’t do them any favors. They are paid the Wednesday after each Sunday game, 1/16th of salary. Bonuses after the season if contracted.
Most players run out of money in June/July and take out loans to make it to early September.
It’s a mess for most of these guys who have never had to manage their money. Bankruptcy rates for former players is extremely high.

That would be a terrible decision on his part. He needs to put together a more solid season to show what he's capable

He's listening to wrong people if he leaves early. He didnt dominate any games and isnt on any draft boards
