I think that was mostly based on them jumping over Memphis and
going to a NY6 bowl. That’s not going to happen now since Memphis won but there is still a chance ESPN would want Boise in a bowl game bigger than Vegas to create a better matchup and that would open the door for Hawaii to still play in Vegas and a different opponent play BYU in Hawaii.
