terrible 1st quarter vs Bama last year, they played well the rest of the game. Basically, they’ve played 1 bad quarter out of the last 8 in the CFP.

OK, maybe I’m giving them too much credit for last year, because Alabama probably got bored after jumping out to a 28-0 lead 2 minutes into the 2nd quarter. That start left a bad taste in everybody’s mouth and IMO was one reason the committee kept ranking utah ahead of Oklahoma this year, despite a clearly stronger resume.

But there is no question that they’re the most deserving team for the #4 spot this year, IMO.
