The smith field house floor was widely considered one of the best basketball
floors ever. It was kind of an engineering pioneer made with hollow cells beneath the floor that made it extra springy.
I loved playing on that floor and played there a lot back in the 80’s.
I remember the Dnews actually did a story about that floor a few years back.
